Collective and Backbone Entertainment merge

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Collective and Backbone Entertainment are to merge and become Foundation 9 Entertainment inc. The merger, if approved by the board and shareholders, will strengthen their position in the industry, creating a company with more than 300 employees.

While neither company are household names, Backbone Entertainment have received some press attention from their upcoming Death Jr. for the PSP and Collective are currently working on Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
