Tweets from Codemasters have revealed a teaser trailer and website which point to the return of the publisher’s much-loved Dizzy series.
Dizzy is the creation of Oliver twins, Philip and Andrew, and first hit the video game scene in 1986 for Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, and ZX Spectrum.
The games featured an intelligent egg-like creature called Dizzy, an unlikely hero who would need to save his friends and family the Yolkfolk. His arch nemesis is the evil wizard Zaks.
So far all we’ve got to work on is the website eggcitingnews.com and the video embedded below.
Rich Eddy, communications director at Codemasters says more news will be released tomorrow.
As loved as Dizzy still is, we can’t see Codemasters investing in a full-fledged retail released game featuring an egg, so a side-scrolling remake or new adventure coming to download channels is our bet.
