The current console cycle isn’t going away any time soon, Bodycount game director Andy Wilson has told CVG.

Speaking about the current limitations of console hardware, Wilson told CVG: “It takes a huge amount of effort to get all of that [destruction] to even work on current consoles, because it takes s***-loads of memory, it sucks up performance out of the consoles like you wouldn’t believe.”

Asked if consoles are reaching their technical limitations, he replied: “I think [that’s] probably fair, yeah. It’s been an unusually long console cycle and it’s going to run on for some time yet.”

Bodycount from Codemasters will be released September 2 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
