Codemasters has announced a new Overlord game, with a full reveal coming at 2pm tomorrow, April 23.
Judging by the teaser trailer, the new game appears to be a 4-player top-down action-strategy title, possibly similar to Gauntlet or, alternatively, Codemasters’ first foray into the MOBA genre.
The game is being developed in-house at Codemasters, although platforms have yet to be confirmed.
It also seems to be quite the departure from earlier games in the series, which saw players commanding minions from a third-person perspective. In fact, it looks closer to Overlord Minions, an action puzzle game developed for Nintendo DS.
Expect much more on Codemasters’ plans for the game tomorrow.
