The next entry in the long-running Formula One franchise is currently in development and will launch in June, Codemasters has announced (via PST). F1 2019 will arrive on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
Codemasters isn't saying much right now in regards to new features, although it will be partnering with F1 – a first for the series after all these years – allowing players to hop into the driver's seat of a customisable regulation car for the game's multiplayer.
Ross Brawn and Pat Symonds of the F1 technical team helped design the flashy motor, which lets you add a personal touch using a vast range of livery designs. More details on the general gameplay for F1 2019 will be revealed at a later date, said Codies.
The previous entry in the series, F1 2018, came out in late August last year for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Sony held exclusive rights to producing F1 games for ten years between 1996 and 2006, after which it passed to Codemasters, who issued their first effort with F1 2009.
F1 2019 is scheduled for release on June 28.
