Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to considerably outsell EA’s Battlefield 3, according to Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey. Speaking to Nowgamer, Hickey said that EA would manage to shift approximately 6.4 million units of Battlefield 3 during the last quarter of 2011. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, on the other hand, is set to reach a gigantic 23 million units during the same period.
“Battlefield 3 is generating significant market buzz, compliments of an emerging super power franchise and the mega-marketing arm of Electronic Arts,” said Hickey. “And while we do not expect the game to challenge Call of Duty’s holiday dominance this year, a strong showing could disrupt market share trends through the remainder of the current console cycle.”
