Sandfall Interactive’s groundbreaking turn-based RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is one of the best games of the year. Following the release of the game’s killer soundtrack, a gorgeous art book is now up for grabs.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s art book is so beautiful
Created by French company Pix’n Love (who also released a stunning Shenmue 3 Collector’s Edition many years ago), the official Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 art book comes with over 300 pages of stunning artwork.
“Designed to offer fans and the curious an immersive dive into the heart of the creative process of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 , this exclusive large-format work brings together, over more than 300 pages, hundreds of previously unpublished documents and illustrations used in the development of one of the most fascinating games of recent years: settings, characters, concept art, objects,” the product’s description reads.
Alongside the art itself, the massive book also includes a series of developer interviews as the team behind the game “shamelessly reveals the secrets” of its development.
Alongside the normal book, a gorgeous Collector’s Edition is also available. The more expensive, grandiose version gives customers an exclusive cover illustration printed in Pantone Gold and a hardcover slipcase in Alicia’s colors as well as a numbered metal plaque, a medal and 10 lithographs.
While the book is predominantly for French customers, Pix’n Love is working on an English version. Speaking to fans on Twitter, the company explained: “Yes, the official Expedition 33 artbook will be adapted into several languages, including English. We will share more information shortly by revealing the list of our foreign partners.”
At the time of writing, the Collector’s Edition artbook is priced at a ridiculously affordable €79,90 with the standard art book priced at the standard €39,90 for a book of this size. You can pre-order them here.
