2K Games has announced that Civilization VI is coming to the Nintendo Switch in just a couple of months, and will ship with all extra bells and whistles seen in post-game updates, plus four slices of DLC.

The extra content comes in the shape of the Vikings Pack, Poland Pack, Australia Pack, and Persia & Macedon Pack, and includes new civilizations, leaders, and scenarios. Here, you'll take part in events such as the colonization of Australia and unleashing havoc across Europe as a Viking leader.

2K also confirmed that Civilization VI on Switch will boast support for four-player co-op, as well as wireless local multiplayer.

Civilization VI was originally released on PC in October 2016, and received a new expansion, Rise and Fall, earlier this year. The Nintendo Switch version of the strategy title will arrive on November 16.

Developer Firaxis has added a number of new gameplay wrinkles into this latest entry in the long-running franchise, with Civilization VI featuring improved AI, unstacked military installations from main cities, and a modified technology tree.

In addition to the PC and Switch versions of the game, Civilization VI is also available on iOS, Linux, and Mac.
