The Mongols Civilization and Scenario Pack will be available as a free download for Civilization V on October 25, 2K Games has announced.

Additionally, players will be able to purchase the Babylonian Civilization Pack for £2.99, previously available exclusively as part of the Sid Meier’s Civilization V Digital Deluxe Edition.

In the Mongols Civilization and Scenario Pack players will ride with Genghis Khan and his Mongol horsemen to establish the largest continuous land empire ever seen. Rulers lead their civilization from humble beginnings on the steppes of Asia.

With the Babylonian Civilization Pack players will gain access to the Babylonian ruler, Nebuchadnezzar II (c. 630 – c. 561 B.C.). As King of Babylon, gamers will be able to expand their empire with advanced Babylonian Bowmen.

The free DLC will be warmly received by the Civilization V community. Wisely, 2K has chosen not to upset gamers who stumped up the extra cash for the Digital Deluxe Edition and is asking those who picked up the regular edition to pay for the Babylonian Civilization Pack.
