The new patch will bring your retail game up to version 1.09 and fixes a number of game bugs, as well as changing some things here and there. Some of the notable changes are improved load times and general performance enhancements, plus some in-game variable tweaking including increasing the cost of the Apollo Program and changes to Rifling, Chemistry, Steel, and Railroad tech costs.
Also available now is a Civilization IV demo (314 mb) that is just the thing if you’re currently sitting on the fence, not sure whether or not to buy the game. The patch and demo are available now from 3D Gamers.
