Colossal Order has just released a new round of Cities Skylines 2 patch notes, and aside from introducing several fixes, such as one that addresses a frustrating resource bug, another more prominent change includes the removal of a Spasm radio ad due to its offensive content. Though most players weren’t able to get an idea of what the vulgar radio ad sounded like before it was deleted from existence, one helpful player created a short video showcasing the puzzling soundbite in all its robotic glory.
Of course, if you want to learn how to make money fast in Cities Skylines 2, we’d recommend taking a look at the entirety of the patch notes below so you know what’s changed in the game before you jump back in. But if you’re itching to hear the now-banned radio ad, then be prepared because it is mostly gibberish and is barely discernible.
Now, the brief clip in question features a person going on a random, 30-second monologue where their voice is sporadically made robotic through the heavy use of a voice changer. Though Colossal Order’s reason for removing the radio ad remains unclear, many speculate that the soundbite’s constant statement of the word “spasm” is what caused it to be deleted from the game, as the narrator’s casual way of mentioning it may be deemed insensitive or offensive to those who suffer from seizures.
Keep in mind, though, that the game’s developer hasn’t actually confirmed this reason, and it is still merely speculation at the time of writing. That said, if you want to learn more about the rest of the changes included with this update, keep reading to find out what they are.
