Child of Light, a new turn-based RPG set in the magical world of Lemuria, will be released on April 30 for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC, Ubisoft has announced.

Created by a small team of developers at Ubisoft Montreal, Child of Light makes use of the UbiArt Framework to create the effect of stepping into an interactive painting.

The game re-imagines classic fairytales, taking players on an adventure in the painted world of Lemuria where they will uncover mysteries and participate in turn-by-turn combat inspired by classic JRPGs.

As Aurora, a child stolen from her home, players must find their way home and bring back the sun, the moon and the stars held captive by the Queen of the Night.

Child of Light will be priced £11.99 on all formats.
