The PlayStation 3 version of Child of Eden will support Move controls, and full stereoscopic 3D, Ubisoft has revealed.

Child of Eden is Q Entertainment’s spiritual successor to Rez; an on-rails shooter where music and rhythm are combined with abstract imagery for a ‘sensory experience’.

“We’re excited to be bringing the critically acclaimed Child of Eden experience to PS3,” said Geoffroy Sardin, EMEA vice president of sales and marketing, at Ubisoft. “This is one of those special, rare games that belong in every gamer’s library, and the PlayStation Move integration coupled with the ability to play the game in 3D make for an even more unique experience on PlayStation 3.”

The Xbox 360 version of the game, which is one of very few games to use Kinect successfully, received a warm welcome from critics. In my Child of Eden review, I called the game a “welcome palette cleanser in a particularly heavy year of violent shooters.”

Child of Eden is available for Xbox 360 now and will launch for PlayStation 3 on September 30.
