GWENT will no longer be supported on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One because CD Projekt Red felt like the game was going to be stretched too thin across all of its platforms (via WccfTech).

“Looking to the future, we do not believe we can support a growing number of different versions of GWENT while improving feature parity between them,” said the developer. “Considering that PC and mobile are the most popular platforms among GWENT players, we have made a tough decision: to discontinue support of console versions of the game.” PlayStation 4 and Xbox One support and matchmaking will end on December 9, but it won’t be for naught.

Players will be able to transfer their progress on their console account to a new or existing GOG account. This option will be available from December 9 to June 9, 2020. Next week, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One GWENT versions will be put on ice and won’t receive any future updates, but they will still be playable until June 9, 2020.

GWENT The Witcher Card Game is currently available on PC, iOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will be coming to Android.
