CCP has suspended EVE Online elected representative Alex Gianturco, a member of the MMO’s Council of Stellar Management, after comments he made on stage at an EVE Online panel discussion in which he encouraged fans of the game to bully a fellow user to commit suicide.

Gianturco has also forfeited re-election rights to re-join the publicly elected player congress, and has been banned from the game for 30 days, Develop reports.

Earlier last week, he was reported to have drunkenly said regarding the depressed player:

“Incidentally, if you wanna make the guy go kill himself, his name is [removed]. He has his own corp. Find him.”

Gianturco later apologised publicly, writing on his Twitter account:

“Step one, apologize profusely. Step two, resign. Step three, send all my ISK to the victim. Entirely my fault and unacceptable.”

Footage of other keynote presentations from the EVE Fanfest is currently available on CCP’s official YouTube page.
