A TV quiz show based on Zynga’s smash hit mobile game Draw Something looks set to air in 2013, reports Variety.
CBS won a bidding war for the pilot of the primetime gameshow produced by Sony Pictures Television, Ryan Seacrest Prods. and Embassy Row.
Variety reports that there is no on-air commitment, but the project is expected to be fast-tracked to air in 2013.
In the show teams of celebrities and regular folks will compete in front of a studio audience to earn money. Viewers will also be able to play along at home for a chance to win prices and compete with the celebs.
Seacrest is not expected to take an on-air role.
Draw Something came out of nowhere to attract more than 14 million daily users earlier this year. Such explosive success was enough for Zynga to purchase OMGPOP for $210 million.
