The Behemoth has confirmed that a remastered version of Castle Crashers will come to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 this summer.

Castle Crashers Remastered was originally released on the Xbox One back in 2015, and will arrive on Ninty's hybrid console with HD Rumble, Switch Online, and four-player multiplayer via Joy-Cons. The PS4 version, meanwhile, will utilise the DualShock 4 controller's lightbar to display your character's colour.

Writing in a blog post, The Behemoth's Dan Paladin also touched base on why there's no Castle Crashers 2, saying it would have to be 'vastly improved' over the original game, and not simply 'more of the same.'

The Behemoth is also working on something called 'Game 5,' although no further details were provided.

Castle Crashers was first released on the Xbox 360 way back in 2008, and was ported to numerous platforms over the next few years prior to being remastered.
