Four new characters have been revealed for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS.

Three of the new additions come from the Fire Emblem series, including Robin, whom will be playable in both male and female form, and Lucina. Captain Falcon of the F-Zero series and Smash Bros. veteran was also unveiled.

Fire Emblem’s Chrom was also present in the trailer, but doesn’t seem to be a playable character. Instead, he appears to be an assist character and part of Robin’s final Smash.

Gameplay footage focused on Robin’s mage abilities, which allow him or her to cast powerful spells from a spellbook along with an angular sword for melee.

Smash Bros. for Wii U is due for release this holiday with the 3DS version expected this October.
