Capcom’s long-serving fighting game maestro Yoshinori Ono has been hospitalised after fainting, the publisher’s Japanese blog reports.

The story (translated by Event Hubs) states that Ono fainted shortly after the Street Fighter X Tekken promotion in Asia, and had to be taken to hospital.

According to the report, Ono won’t be performing work-related affairs for a while, but thankfully the illness isn’t too severe.

Ono’s latest title, Street Fighter X Tekken, was released in March.

We hope Yoshinori Ono makes a full and swift recovery.
