Dead Rising developer Capcom Vancouver has announced it will be shuttering Puzzle Fighter mobile as it focuses attention on the next instalment in the selfie-taking, zombie-mashing franchise.

Writing on the Capcom-Unity blog, the publisher revealed that Puzzle Fighter will close up shop on July 31, although current owners can still play it up until that point. For everyone else, the game will disappear from the app store on July 1, so grab it while you can. As a result of the move, Capcom Vancouver is now putting all its efforts into the new Dead Rising game.

Unfortunatley, it does mean that Puzzle Fighter will have been available for less than one year, although Capcom is giving players 10,000 in-game gem currency from today as a bonus. In addition, Regina, Dr. Wily, and Ada Wong, plus stages Darminor and Uroborus Laboratory will be made available free of charge.

Earlier this year it was reported that Capcom Vancouver was hit by a number of layoffs, with the scale of the next Dead Rising game also being reduced. Dead Rising 4 was released on Xbox One in December 2016 and shuffled over to the PlayStation 4 the following year, though didn't do as well critically or commercially as previous entries.
