Siliconera has unearthed a Capcom trademark filing for “Mega Man Universe”, thought to be a new entry in the publisher’s long-running and recently rejuvenated franchise.
Recent downloadable games, Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10, have proved a success, giving fans a back to basics style of retro gaming, but Mega Man Universe suggests something on a grander scale.
The trademark discovery comes only days after Capcom community manager Seth Killian hinted at a surprise for Mega Man fans.
