As recently as Monday we were reporting on Activision’s decision to license Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3, and now it’s the turn of Capcom.

Capcom’s early efforts for next-gen platforms, Lost Planet and Dead Rising, were developed from the ground up from within Capcom and delivered impressive results – both titles are right up there with the best the Xbox 360 has delivered in terms of visuals.

The company is taking a different approach with a new title being developed in North America. Rather than use an in-house engine, Capcom has licensed Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3. Details on the project which will utilise the UE3 are not available at this time.
