UPDATE: It sounds like Project Palm isn’t Dragon’s Dogma 2 after all… As spotted by Siliconera, the game has been featured on Famitsu’s “Famitsu App for Girls” section, suggesting it could be a mobile game targeted at a female audience.

The site is also reported to have revealed the title as ‘Toraware no Palm’, although this has since been removed.

ORIGINAL STORY: Capcom has launched a teaser website for a brand new game, codenamed ‘Project Palm’.

The website, which is largely written in Japanese, features an image of the palm of someone’s hand, with what appears to have a marking etched onto it. It also features details on one of the game’s voice actors and an August 2, 2016 date, suggesting more details on the project could be revealed next Tuesday.

But what does it all mean? Well, users on NeoGAF seem to think that it could be related to a new Dragon’s Dogma title, another title from Capcom that featured characters with glowing scars on the palm of their hand.

The original Dragon’s Dogma launched on Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2012, with an expanded version Dark Arisen arriving one year later. The game later made its way to PC at the start of 2016.

A free-to-play sequel for PS3, PS4, and PC, Dragon’s Dogma Online, also launched in Japan last year, but has yet to make it to the west.
