Original story: Call of Duty: WWII was officially announced on Friday, and an apparent leak has shed some more light on the story — and when the game will actually launch — as reported by Charlie Intel (via Gamespot).
According to some Australian marketing materials, Call of Duty: WWII will launch on November 3 worldwide, and players will be able to play through with friends in a co-op mode with an ‘original story.’ Those who pre-order the game will supposedly have access to a private beta prior to release, as well.
Multiplayer maps will be based on ‘World War II’s most iconic locations,’ while the story sounds like a Band of Brothers-esque tale featuring the ‘unbreakable brotherhood of common men fighting to preserve freedom in a world on the brink of tyranny.’
The early November release date, while not set in stone just yet, is in line with the series’ past, but we’ll find out more on April 26 when Activision officially let the cat out of the bag.
