Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is already breaking GAME’s pre-order records, the GAME Group has announced.
Activision’s hugely anticipated sequel is on course to break the pre-order records previously set by last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, which was GAME Group’s largest pre-order and best-selling title in the company’s history.
“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders are already tracking significantly ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops at the same time last year,” said Tom Devine, managing director of GAME Group. “We know that the Call of Duty brand and franchise has the most amazing fan-base and we’ve got some great surprises lined up for those who pre-order with us. We’re looking forward to an incredible launch on November 8.”
Infinity Ward revealed last week that Modern Warfare 2’s Party Chat restrictions would be lifted across many of Modern Warfare 3’s modes.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on November 8.
