Activision has announced that it’s expanding the support of its charitable foundation, The Call of Duty Endowment, to the UK. Founded in 2009 by Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick, the Endowment is a US charity that helps to fund and place veterans into high-quality working roles. So far it’s placed more than 37,000 US veterans into full-time jobs, with decent wages and long-term employment.

Originally the scheme was set up to place 25,000 veterans by 2018, and it achieved that target two years early. As a result of its success, the scheme is now aiming to place 50,000 veterans by 2019.

This scheme is being expanded to the UK, and The Endowment is seeking to identify and create partnerships with a select group of UK charities, and these will be announced in the coming months.

To fund UK endowment programmes, Activision today announced The Call of Duty Endowment Double Duty Calling Card for Call of Duty: Black Ops III is available in the UK.

This animated Calling Card allows players to view a service member transform before their eyes from a uniformed warrior to a civilian on their way to work, showing their donation’s meaningful impact on the veteran community. The Calling Card will also come with three rare supply drops.

The first animated Calling Card will go on sale today, and all proceeds received from sales will go directly towards Endowment programmes dedicated to finding veterans high quality work.
