Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops is the fasted game to complete, according to gamers surveyed by Player2.com.
Respondents were asked to estimate how long they had owned the game before single-player completion, ignoring downloadable content and online game modes.
Respondents were also asked to state how long, roughly, it had taken them to complete each game. The average gamer who had completed Call of Duty Black Ops had done so in 9 hours, whilst the average player completing Grand Theft Auto IV had done so in 40+ hours.
When taking all answers from respondents into account, the top 10 “fastest completed games” by gamers were as follows.
- 1. Call of Duty Black Ops – 2 days
- 2. Terminator Salvation – 2.5 days
- 3. Resident Evil 5 – 3.2 days
- 4. God of War 2 – 3.3 days
- 5. Uncharted – 3.8 days
- 6. Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands – 4.1 days
- 7. Assassin’s Creed II – 5 days
- 8. Uncharted – 6.6 days
- 9. Metal Gear Solid 3 – 6.8 days
- 10. Grand Theft Auto IV – 8.2 days
Given that Call of Duty players sink months into the online component of the games, the results of this survey are massively misleading. In fact, Black Ops is almost certainly played for much longer than any of the other games in the list.
We also know of plenty of games which can be completed in under a day.
