Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's latest specialist, Zero, has been taken down a peg or two in the latest title update for the military shooter.
Treyarch rolled out Zero first on PlayStation 4 last week, with the specialist arriving on PC and Xbox One just yesterday. However, the character has been nerfed across the board as players started complaining she was perhaps just a bit too overpowered.
The main issue with Zero is her Ice Pick ability, a hacking tool that lets her take control of an enemy scorestreak, giving the player access to all sorts of devastating attacks. This abilitiy was not available to any other specialist in the game, and couldn't be countered effectively.
In wake of the backlash, Treyarch has applied some significant changes to Zero. For starters, the Ice Pick ability now takes far longer to earn, while the hacking process itself has been extended substantially.
Considering Pro Call of Duty players have banned Zero from matches, it's probably just as well that Treyarch has taken steps to nerf the character.
