Treyarch has confirmed that Blackout, the battle royale offering for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, will be available as a free trial on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One for those interested in taking it for a spin.
Blackout's trial will kick off on January 17 and runs until January 24, during which time you can enjoy the full battle royale experience. It doesn't include Black Ops 4's bread-and-butter multiplayer or Zombies modes, obviously.
In related news, Treyarch has also dropped off a fresh console patch for the military shooter, which tinkers with looting interface in Blackout. In addition, the PS4 version of the game has received Gauntlets and new Elixirs.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launched on PS4, PC, and Xbox One back in October, and despite its lack of a traditional campaign, Josh thought it was a pretty solid affair.
