Treyarch is continuing to tweak the armour system in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, after complaints have been raised that the feature is too powerful and results in bullet-sponge-type opponents.

Black Ops 4's first major update nerfed armor considerably, although the studio has been poking and prodding the system ever since.

The latest update comes with a number of key changes. Levels two and three armor have now been rebalanced, with their durability matching level one armor. In addition, armor plate stacking has been nerfed from 10 to five, while the time it takes to use armor plates has been bumped up by one second.

'While we're pleased to see armor lasting through more than one gunfight with this redesign, we agreed that level two and level three armor was a bit too durable,' commented Treyarch.

'With the durability dialed back on these, players should be able to destroy their enemies' armour more frequently.'

Armor isn't the only thing that was nerfed either. Yesterday, Treyarch confirmed that it had tweaked the game's latest specialist, Zero, as she was deemed too powerful following her launch on PlayStation 4 last week.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was released on PS4, PC, and Xbox One in October.
