Robert Burns, born 25 January 1759, will forever be regarded as Scotland’s national poet. It is said that nobody understood the character of the nation better than he, and since 1801 his life and works have been celebrated north of the border on Burns Night with dancing, whisky, recitals of his poems, and the traditional meal of haggis neeps & tatties.

Steven W. Burns, born some time in the 1980s, is a piss-taking bellend from the south. He is half-Scottish, however, and claims to be a direct descendent of Rabbie Burns, although he probably isn’t. He hasn’t even tried haggis.

Jim thought it would be a fun idea to get Burns reading Burns, but Burns just took the piss out of Burns instead.
