Criterion has announced that PC gamers will be able to enjoy a free trial of Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box when the game is released in February 2009.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box will combine the original Burnout Paradise with all DLC and post-release content, including the forthcoming Party Pack. The free trial for PC gamers will allow users to explore Paradise City and check out everything that’s on offer, able to pull up at any of the 120 junctions to start one of five event types.

There are no restrictions, with Criterion noting that they are letting PC gamers “play through the start of the full game for a limited period”. The trial will also support online play, allowing players to join up with friends and work together to beat challenges.

The trial will be available to download from www.criteriongames.com and www.ea.com from February and will also be distributed on “millions of disks”. It will also be very easy to upgrade to the full game via the included in-game store.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box is scheduled for a February 2009 release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
