Burnout Paradise is in development at EA’s Criterion Studio in Guilford and is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this winter. As the first true next-gen Burnout game, gamers will be able to take the adrenaline pumping experience to the next level in the free-roaming Paradise City.

EA is promising an unprecedented level of crash deformation with the most explosive pile-ups in the series’ history.

We have been working towards Burnout Paradise for quite some time. Next generation consoles have opened up a raft of new gameplay opportunities and the Criterion team has leapt at the chance to innovate and raise the bar to an all-new high,” said Pete Hawley, Executive Producer, Burnout Paradise. “There are going to be some big surprises and a lot of new features but the core of the game is still pure Burnout. Instant accessibility will be reinforced by innovative on-line capabilities which will see Burnout Paradise smash racing conventions.

Inside Paradise City players will be able to explore to discover new events, with the structured approach of previous games replaced with a go anywhere, do what you want style.

For now you can check out some new screens and teaser trailer.
