Young Horses has announced quirky adventure Bugsnax will get a free update in early 2022 entitled The Isle of BIGsnax.
As the title implies, the update will introduce a mysterious new island to Snaktooth. Here, the Bugsnax have grown to an enormous size, and you’ll have to catch ’em. To help you along the way, you’ll use some new tools like Shrink Spice and some returning friends from the original game. Chandlo, Floofty, Triffany and Shelda are all back, and will have more side stories to discover.
Bugsnax: The Isle of BIGsnax also brings some new features to the main game. Your very own hut in Snaxburg has finally been finished, and you’ll be able to kit it out yourself. There’ll be new challenges, found in your mailbox, that will let you earn furniture items and more to customise your living space. There’s over 100 challenges, 30 new quests and almost 200 decorations to collect.
And of course, a new update wouldn’t be complete without new Bugsnax. Expect a dozen all-new Bugsnax to capture, and even new Bughats to customise them with. Those who have already completed the game can access the content by loading their completed save, and the game will put you back before the point of no return. The update will also mark Bugsnax‘s debut on Steam, having previously been an Epic Game Store exclusive on PC.
The Isle of BIGsnax update is scheduled to land in “early 2022” though a specific date hasn’t been given. Bugsnax is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
