Double Fine's hard-rockin' adventurer Brutal Legend has joined Xbox One's growing backwards compatibility lineup.

Originally released in 2009 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Brutal Legend is a 70s and 80s metal head's fantasy, featuring 107 tracks plucked from some of the most iconic heavy metal and hard rock bands of the period, including Black Sabbath, Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot, Scorpions, and Whitesnake.

Main character Eddie Riggs is voiced by Jack Black, and there's even appearances by Ozzy, Lemmy Kilmister, and the Metal God himself, Rob Halford. Hell yeah.

There's actually a video game in there somewhere too in case you wondered, with Brutal Legend combining elements of action-adventure games with, surprisingly, real-time strategy. Sadly, the game was a bit overlooked and never got a sequel.

Brutal Legend is joined by Greg Hastings Paintball 2, and probably doesn't feature a heavy metal soundtrack.

Both games can be played on Xbox One now if you have them on disc, or you can buy Brutal Legend for £11.99 from the Xbox store.
