Despite the power of the current video game hardware, we’re still some way short of games being realistic to the point of being indistinguishable from movies. However, movie producer Jerry Bruckheimer believes the time will come when movies and games will be as one.

“I really believe in the next 10 years you won’t be able to tell the difference between movies and games,” Bruckheimer told HeyUGuys on the set of Prince of Persia. “Games will be so realistic.”

He added that he hopes to enter the video game market himself: “They are a form of storytelling and we love to tell stories in movies and on television. We are about to actively seek some executives. Hopefully in the next six months we’ll get started.”

Prince of Persia is set to open in UK cinemas on May 28, just one week after Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is released in stores.
