A Broken Age Easter Egg has been discovered which retrofies the game’s gloriously high def visuals.

YouTuber The Phawx posted a video detailing how to access the hidden mode, revealing that lowering the game’s resolution as far as it will go and then clicking “key remapping” causes an icon of lead characters Vella and Shay to appear in the corner of the screen. Assign a key to this icon and when in game this will toggle between the modern visuals and retro mode.

Once you’ve assigned the key you can return the game back to its normal resolution.

Whilst a cool hidden extra, the retro visuals make Broken Age pretty unplayable so we can’t imagine many will actually stick with the pixelated look.
