Broken Age Act 2 is now fully funded thanks to the success of Act 1, Double Fine has confirmed.

Double Fine Adventure secured Kickstarter backing of $3.4 million and was originally planned to launch as a single game titled Broken Age. Double Fine later split the game into two acts, with sales of the first part to help fund the development of the second.

“We’ve made enough that we can make the second half of the game for sure,” Double Fine boss Tim Schafer told GamesIndustry International. “And we’re not done making it to all the platforms because we haven’t released it on iPad yet.”

Act 2 should arrive in April or May as a free update to those who own Act 1.
