Bethesda and Splash Damage have announced that promising FPS Brink will now be released one week earlier than originally planned.

This means the game will be in US stores from May 10 and available across Europe beginning May 13.

No reason for the date change was given.

The biggest reason we can see for the date change is to ensure Brink doesn’t end up going up against Rockstar Games’ L.A. Noire on May 20. Instead the shooter will duel with LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean, a game much less likely to eat into the same core audience.
