With the Cricket World Cup just around the corner, Codemasters could have a winner on its hands with Brian Lara International Cricket 2007. The game is scheduled for release for Xbox 360, PS2 and PC on March 23, but Xbox 360 and PC gamers needn’t wait until then to take to the crease.

Available now on Xbox Live Marketplace is a playable demo which puts players in a Champions Trophy warm up match between England and Australia. At only 688MB it’s not too large a download and should be worth a look.

To get hold of the demo you’ll have to be an Xbox Live Gold member and be in the UK or Ireland. It’s also available in Australia and New Zealand under the name Ricky Ponting International Cricket 2007.

PC gamers can get their hands on a demo over on the Codemasters website.
