The PS4 version of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection has an 8.31GB day one patch.
The update’s mammoth size is due to Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel’s Claptastic Voyage DLC not being completed in time to be included on the game’s disc, instead requiring a free additional download.
The patch also includes various tweaks and bug fixes to both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, although VideoGamer.com had been unable to verify the size of the update on Xbox One at the time of writing.
If you’ve already pre-ordered The Handsome Collection digitally, the update should automatically pre-load ahead of release. Gearbox strongly recommends that all players download the update before playing.
