Borderlands is being added to Xbox One backwards compatibility today, Microsoft has announced.
Provided you own a physical or digital copy of the Xbox 360 original, the game will be playable to Xbox One preview program members the moment it’s added, and to all other users once backwards compatibility rolls out publicly this November.
The game’s DLC is also supported, and players are able to continue where they left off by transferring their save game to the cloud.
“We are proud to support Xbox One Backward Compatibility by bringing the complete, original Borderlands to Xbox One, including all downloadable content,” said 2K President Christoph Hartmann. “We know many of our fans have put in dozens, even hundreds, of hours exploring the world of Pandora on their Xbox 360, and now they can continue their adventures on Xbox One.”
Other backwards compatible titles include Mass Effect, Gears of War and Shadow Complex, with over 100 set to be available at the service’s public launch.
