As you may remember, the end of last year found Gearbox holding open auditions for the part of Lilith in Borderlands 2. Well, now they’ve announced their winner.

Australian Yasemin Arsal is the new live action model for Lilith, who will appear in the game as a friendly NPC; you can see her in the announcement video below. The same clip also reveals that the first game’s Guardian Angel will also return, played by Brittanni Johnson.

A more cynical person than me might suggest that Gearbox organised these open auditions so that they could gawp at lots of enthusiastic young models, but I have to say that the process seems to have worked: when Ms Arsal is all dressed up, the likeness is uncanny.

Don’t even get me started on the way Ms Johnson spells her first name, though.
