When Boom Blox, the EA and Steven Spielberg puzzle game, sold only 60,000 units across North America in May there was talk of the game seriously under performing. It turned out this 60,000 units was achieved in only a week which is actually pretty good.

Kotaku reports that during today’s quarterly earnings conference call EA CEO John Riccitiello revealed that the game “continues to sell well”. According to EA CFO Eric Brown, to date the game has sold over 450,000 units – presumably worldwide but EA wasn’t clear on this.

Given that casual focused titles tend to have a much longer sales life than traditional games Boom Blox could end up well surpassing half a million units.
