Arma 3 publisher Bohemia Interactive has been hacked, resulting in community members’ usernames, email addresses and encrypted passwords being stolen.

In a post on the publisher’s website, Bohemia explained that it had reset all user passwords to prevent further illegal access, but claimed that its encryption methods meant “it is very unlikely that anything nefarious can be done with this information”.

Credit card details are not stored by the company “and thus not at any risk from this illegal breach”.

It is not yet known how many users have been affected by the breach.

As well as publishing games like Arma 3 and Carrier Command, Bohemia Interactive also sells titles directly to its users via its online store.
