The developer behind the jaw-dropping Shadow of the Colossus remake on PS4 has confirmed that it is beavering away on yet another remake for its next project.

Bluepoint Games confirmed the news during a chinwag with Digital Foundry, where the studio was asked if the art team used in Shadow of the Colossus would be put to work on an original title.

In response, Marco Thrush, Bluepoint’s President and Co-owner, said ‘Well, we could but we’re doing another remake.’ In addition, the mystery title will apparently eclipse the scope of the Shadow of the Colossus revamp, which says a lot considering that project wasn’t exactly small fry.

Unsurprisingly, Thrush stopped short of confirming what the game actually is, although he made it pretty clear we have reason to be excited for whatever they’re remaking. Ico perhaps? Demon’s Souls? We can only speculate.

‘We’re really excited about our next project and we think you will be too when you find out what it is,’ he said. ‘And we’re hiring.’

Bluepoint Games has churned out a number of high-definition remakes in the past, including Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and Gravity Rush Remastered. In other words, their next project is almost certainly in good hands.
