A game-breaking bug is currently taking the shine off of Diablo 3’s launch for many players, according to widespread reports of error 3006.
Players are finding themselves getting kicked from the game if they equip the Templar – encountered early in the game – with a shield. Those unlucky enough to encounter error 3006 are unable to log back into the game.
Blizzard has said it is aware of the problem and is working on a fix.
“we are aware of this issue and are working on a fix,” explained a Blizzard community poster. “The current workaround is to not give the Templar any gear until after you accept him as your follower through the UI pop-up.”
