Bleach is one of Japan’s most popular anime and comic series, and after an outing on the GBA and the PSP it is making its way onto the DS. The DS game will be developed by Treasure, known for Gun Star Heroes on the Sega Megadrive and many other classic games.

The full title for the DS 2D fighter is Bleach: Souten ni Kakeru Unmei, and Treasure say fighting game fans will love the game even if they are not fans of the anime series. Unlike traditional fighters, Bleach features two fighting planes, and up to four players can take part in wireless (and single cart) multi-play. The game is set for a Japanese release in January 2006, but there are no plans for a UK release.
