Black Ops II Care Package and Hardened Editions revealed

Update: Activision has officially announced both the Call of Duty: Black Ops II Care Package and Hardened Edition, and released a video revealing the full list of content found in either edition.

Original story: Images allegedly detailing Call of Duty: Black Ops II’s Care Package and Hardened Editions have leaked online.

The Care Package, which appears similar to Call of Duty’s previous Prestige Editions, includes a replica MQ-27 Dragonfire Drone complete with a remote control, suggesting it may be flyable.

The pack also features additional in-game content, including pre-order bonus multiplayer map Nuketown 2025, Nuketown Zombies, plus exclusive weapon camo and player card backgrounds.

The official soundtrack and two limited edition ‘Challenge Coins’ are also included, as well as console specific bonuses.

PlayStation 3 players get an exclusive multiplayer theme and a zombies theme, while Xbox 360 users get a CLAW avatar prop and zombies avatar costume.

The whole thing comes packaged in a replica care package, which you can see above.

The Hardened Edition, meanwhile, contains all of the above, minus the Dragonfire Drone and the funky packaging. Instead, it comes packaged in an orange and black box.

Unlike Modern Warfare 3’s Hardened Edition, a subscription to Call of Duty: Elite doesn’t appear to be included in either edition.

Activision has yet to officially confirm either edition, but a photo of Treyarch leads Dan Bunting and David Vonderhaar posing with the Care Package appeared on the Black Ops II Facebook page this morning.

The message accompanying the photo suggests that more details will be revealed tomorrow.
