Black Ops 3’s first DLC map pack is called Awakening, due early 2016

Activision has announced details on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s first DLC map pack, Awakening.

Due for release in early 2016, the map pack will include four brand new multiplayer maps – Skyjacked, Rise, Splash and Gauntlet – plus a brand new Zombies map ‘Der Eisendrachen’. Awakening will be available first on PS4, before arriving on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC 30 days later.

A price and exact release date for the pack have yet to be announced, nor do we know much about the maps themselves. Skyjacked, however, appears to be a remade version of Black Ops 2’s yacht map Hijacked, while Gauntlet appears to feature three distinct zones themed around a jungle, icy tundra and an urban area.
